Dr. Yair Walzer, MD, FRCS (C) attended McGill University in Montreal where he received his Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude in 1972 and his medical degree in 1976. He subsequently did six years of general surgery and urology training in Montreal and Toronto. He completed a fellowship in urologic oncology in Memphis and then spent ten years on the University of Tennessee faculty as associate professor of urology. During this period he was instrumental in bringing lithotripsy to the Mid-South and pioneered female urology in Memphis. He has written on a variety of topics inurology and served as president of the Memphis Urologic Society. His interests include urologic oncology, female urology, impotence, incontinence, stone disease, infertility, as well as general urology. He is a member of numerous medical societies. He is American Board of Urology Certified.
